Washington Football Team vs Dallas Cowboys, NFL, FedExField

The underachieving Cowboys catch a break this week as they face a possibly worse team in the Washington Football Team. This lowly NFC East battle will feature two teams that are struggling to make meaningful strides this season, but regardless are battling for the top spot in the division 888sport has the Cowboys favoured on the road, but only barely at -1.0.

NFC LEAST Showdown

There’s no point in sugarcoating for betting purposes so I’ll just come right out and say it: both of these teams stink.

I have to issue an apology for predicting last week that Dallas would win out against Arizona in Week 6. That didn’t happen. They got slaughtered 38-10 on Monday Night Football. I honestly believed that the loss of Dak Prescott for an already lackluster Cowboys team wasn’t as big of a deal as people were making it out to be.

Boy was I wrong.

Even though Dallas was losing before Dak went down, they looked downright horrible with Andy Dalton at quarterback. In Week 6, he completed 63% of his passes for only 266 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Dak Prescott couldn’t lead the Cowboys to many victories before his unfortunate injury in Week 5, but they certainly seemed more promising with him under center. The run game was horrific as well, as Ezekiel Elliott fumbled four times, losing two of them.

The Washington Football Team is another disaster. They’re currently riding a five game losing streak and are coming off a very close loss to another terrible NFC East team, the New York Giants. Washington is dead last in yards per game at 275.3 and currently ranks 30th overall in points scored per game at 18.

Kyle Allen. Dwayne Haskins. It doesn’t really matter who plays quarterback. This is a bad football team, and so is Dallas, so it’s a toss-up.

There isn’t much value to be found with the moneyline or point spread here, so I’m going to go with a half-time/full-time bet of Washington/Dallas, respectively, which 888sport has at 7.0. Dallas has been a major disappointment, but they’re still much more talented and should ultimately win this game, but I can see them getting off to a slow start following their demoralizing defeat in Week 6, and coming back to win it in the second half.
