NFL Best Parlays of Week 14

NFL 2020-21
NFL Best Parlays

No weekend is complete without a couple of NFL parlay picks. For Week 14, we’re going to analyze the upcoming AFC North battle between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cleveland Browns and an inter-conference matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals. The Ravens and Browns will likely engage in a hard-nosed, low-scoring game, while the Bengals look to bounce back against the 49ers with a strong second-half performance. Let’s get into it!

Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns

As we look at the upcoming schedule for Week 14 and the best bets for today, we’ve got an AFC North matchup between the Ravens and Browns to kick off this week’s NFL parlay picks.

The Ravens lost to the Steelers in Week 13, but their only real threat at the moment is the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns’ playoff hopes are fading rapidly, but they always play the Ravens strong. The AFC North features a few intense rivalries, and although they’re not the Steelers, the Ravens will want to prove a point this weekend.

The Ravens enter this game as +2.5 road underdogs, and although I believe they’ll come out on top, I’d rather bet on the under to hit, which is listed at 42.5 (-110). It’s a low total score, but if we look at the historical betting trends when these teams meet, it’s the most likely outcome.

The under has cashed in four of the Ravens’ last five games and in five of their last five road games. Looking at the Browns’ side of things, the total has gone under in four of their previous six games and in seven of their last ten meetings with the Ravens.

The Ravens are undoubtedly the superior team as they’re led by dynamic quarterback Lamar Jackson. Still, Jackson has become infamous for struggling as a passer, causing the Ravens to rely on their rushing abilities more often than not. Baker Mayfield has the opportunity to take advantage of a putrid Ravens secondary, but the odds of him stringing together a competent performance is low.

Both of these teams are run-oriented and have solid all-around defenses, and when you combine that with the trends mentioned above, you have a recipe for a low-scoring game. Take the under for the first of your parlay picks.

San Francisco 49ers @ Cincinnati Bengals

December 12th, 4:25, Paul Brown Stadium

Let’s take a look at the upcoming matchup between the 49ers and Bengals for the second selection of this week’s free picks and parlays. The top NFL picks say the Bengals will bounce back this week, but it’ll be challenging task against a stingy 49ers defense.

The 49ers boast one of the best secondary units, as they’re allowing opponents just 205.1 passing yards per game, good for fifth among the entire league. The problem with the 49ers has always been their offense, which has looked more than competent at times, but at others, it has looked stagnant.

The Bengals have tons of talents on offense, but they don’t have the coaching that Kyle Shanahan brings to the table for the 49ers. They also left many fans and bettors dismayed in Week 13 after putting up a horrendous performance against the Chargers.

This game is practically a pick ’em, with the 49ers listed as just -1.5 road favorites, and although I like them to take out the Bengals, I’m inclined to bank on the Bengals showing out in the second half. The Bengals are the second-best team in the second half, where they’re averaging, scoring 15.2 points. That’s second only to the Cowboys, who put up an average of 15.8 points in the second half.

The total has gone over in each of the Bengals’ last five games, so we know they’re more than capable of racking up points. We just have to hope that Joe Burrow shows up to play this weekend and finds a way to connect with his receivers.

The second-half total for the Bengals is 12.5, and if the recent trends are any indication, they likely go over that mark this weekend. Smash the over (-115) on that line and cross your fingers for a bounce-back game from the Bengals.
