Free Picks: Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs

This week on Monday Night Football, the super-powered Kansas City Chiefs travel to Buffalo where they’ll take on an underrated Bills team on their home turf. 888sport has the OVER/UNDER set at 57.5 (1.91), as oddsmakers are predicting that this will be a shootout.

The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs were cruising just a week ago, as both teams entered Week undefeated. Unfortunately for them, they both lost, but Buffalo suffered a grueling beatdown at the hands of the Tennessee Titans.

It’s going to be hard to get back on track against the Chiefs, but the Bills are an underrated football team, and they’ve managed to win against some decent opponents like the Rams and the Raiders. They’re offense has been firing on all cylinders, as they’re currently ranked fifth in yards per game, and fourth in net total yards.

Josh Allen is starting to look elite, too.

If you recall back to last year, most critics said that Allen didn’t have much to offer in terms of passing, as most of the damage he did last year was on the ground. But so far this season, he’s running less and he’s actually throwing the ball at much more efficient rate. He has 14 passing touchdowns, 3 interceptions, and he’s completing 69.3% of his passes, which is a huge step up from last year when his completion percentage was only 58.8. He’s ranked third in QBR at 86.8, behind only Aaron Rodgers, and his opponent this week, Patrick Mahomes.

We know the story with the Chiefs. They can dismantle any opponent in any given week, but I may go out on a limb here and say that the Bills escape with the victory here this week. The Chiefs are coming off a close loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and will turn it up a notch here as they look to avoid starting a losing streak. But the Bills beat that same Raiders team that just won out against the Chiefs, and they’re coming off of a much more embarrassing defeat.

It might be foolish to go against the Chiefs, but hey, sometimes you have to take a chance. Go Bills here.
